About Heather

Short Bio

Heather Rampolla is an Abstract Expressionist Painter who inspires women to take BIG, BOLD risks. These brushstrokes, her mark-making, are symbolic of the movement everyone of us can make in the world around us. Her work is meant to inspire us to bravely face the things that scares us most, but know we are called to. The world, much like our own large blank canvas, is ours for the taking and making if we but dare. She believes women need not be timid about taking up space, being seen, or receiving their desires. The expansiveness of the large canvases are representative of this mission.

In addition to being an artist, Heather is a real estate investor and designer. Her prior experience includes Bank Officer, Gallery Manager, and Women’s Coach.

She lives in Tampa, Florida with her artist husband Renato Rampolla.

More About Heather's Artwork

My goal as an artist is to encourage women to remember their strength and beauty. I make large abstract expression paintings and cyanotype prints. Both bodies of work express my story as a female, often a shared experience.

My paintings are meant to inspire us to face that which scares us most, but know we are called to. The world, much like a large blank canvas, is ours for the taking if we dare. Women need not be timid about taking up space, being seen, or receiving their desires. I often paint while mentoring women on the phone. There’s a powerful living presence in these works.

My cyanotypes combine photography and painting into one form. Created in darkness, they document the process from pain into beauty. My process begins with collecting often ordinary or organic items. Unaware how these objects are meant to communicate, there is an unfolding, a form of storytelling from the objects. This body of work began when going through transitions. I felt lost trying to navigate the grief. Transition was a recurring theme I saw in women. Arriving at a breaking point, being opened up into something even more beautiful with the scars to show.
